Yolo Community Foundation's 2019 Philanthropy Day Celebration

Yolo Community Foundation hosted the Philanthropy Day celebration on Tuesday, November 12, at the Woodland Opera House. Friends of the Yolo County Archives recognized board president, Anastasia Panagakos, who has served in that role for the last two and a half years. Ryan Baum related some of Anastasia’s contributions during that time, including public outreach work to local school children and youth groups, editing the Archives Ledger, and supporting connections between the Archives and local colleges and universities to provide internship and volunteering opportunities. Anastasia felt greatly honored to be recognized and was gifted a 2019 American Legion 100th Anniversary commemorative silver dollar. She noted in her remarks that as a person who has only lived in Yolo County for sixteen years, she still has a lot to learn about county history.
